It seems that my follower growth on Medium has hit a plateau. Am I the only one experiencing this?
My observations suggest that something unusual is affecting follower counts on Medium. Despite my efforts, my follower count feels immobile, akin to being stuck in mud. Over the past two months, I was fortunate to gain more than 4,700 new followers; however, this June, I've only managed to acquire just over 100.
When I check my follower count, I've noticed constant fluctuations, with numbers occasionally dropping since my last update. What could be causing this?

This situation feels off. So far in June, I've only added 117 followers. This isn't a complaint; rather, I'm trying to comprehend what might be happening. I haven't experienced a lower monthly count since I started my Medium journey.
Could it be that I've reached my audience? It seems unlikely, especially given Medium's growth and the millions of readers on the platform. So, what might be behind this stagnation? I have identified two possible explanations.

What might be influencing this situation? When I reflect on the questions at hand, two potential explanations arise. Since Medium lifted my ban, I've encountered this issue. Is there some unseen restriction affecting me? Additionally, Medium's crackdown on AI could be a factor; could the removal of accounts be offsetting the followers I'm gaining, leading to this stagnation?
Both scenarios seem plausible yet disheartening. Why would Medium impose limitations on me if they were at fault? This contradiction is perplexing, but it also makes a certain amount of sense. How could I go from gaining over 100 followers daily before the ban to just surpassing 100 in an entire month? It feels as though something is hindering my growth.
The notion that AI accounts are being purged doesn't fully add up, as this issue was also present in May. Was there a delay in the account removals?
Numerous questions remain unanswered. Ultimately, all I can do is continue writing and focus on my craft.
