Insights Gained from Writing 400 Articles: A Journey of Growth

The Journey to 400 Articles
As I approach my 400th article—this one being number 397—I've come to realize a few important truths. While I may not expect any major revelations in the remaining pieces, my experience has taught me lessons that newer writers may not yet grasp.
Out of the 397 articles I've penned, it’s safe to say that not all are outstanding. In fact, I’d estimate that only about 25% truly hit the mark, while the rest fall short. The feedback, particularly in the form of comments, serves as a clear indicator of this.
Why would I choose to share work that isn’t exceptional? The answer lies in the fact that I often can’t discern its quality until after I hit the publish button and receive feedback from others.
I've experienced the thrill of clicking "publish," only to return hours or even a day later to find just a couple of comments. Although I value every single comment, it can be disheartening to see other, seemingly lesser articles garner significantly more attention.

The Essential Lesson
Here’s the crux of my message: to evolve into a proficient writer, you need to write extensively. Growth in both experience and skill comes through trial and error.
You might feel disheartened when an article doesn’t perform well, but consider it a learning opportunity rather than a setback. Perfection is an unrealistic expectation; acknowledging that is vital to your development.
Viral content may be fleeting, but your writing abilities are a lasting asset. Establishing a consistent writing routine can alleviate the anxiety surrounding your articles' performances. Make writing a daily habit at a specific time, freeing yourself from the pressure of metrics.
Remember, not every piece will resonate, and having more followers won’t guarantee success. Some articles may underperform, and that’s perfectly acceptable. Just keep writing.
