Exciting Updates for Ulysses: Enhanced Equation Support

Chapter 1: Introduction to Ulysses' New Features
I am thrilled to share some fantastic updates from Ulysses! If you’ve read my previous blog post on this writing tool, you might recall my main concern was its limited equation support. Ideally, I wished for a functionality similar to what’s offered in Obsidian. In this post, we will delve into the latest enhancements.

For nearly two years, Ulysses has been my go-to platform for blog writing. As a Ph.D. student, I benefit from a substantial discount, but even without it, I find the software exceptionally valuable. Despite my overall satisfaction, I previously encountered some challenges, particularly with equation formatting, which often resulted in illegible outputs for readers.
With the recent version 31, Ulysses has introduced a dedicated equation writing feature. If you're familiar with LaTeX, you’ll find the experience to be quite intuitive. Now, you can initiate equations simply by typing a dollar sign ($), which triggers the equation editor and allows you to write in LaTeX format seamlessly.
This video, titled "Dot Shapes - 3rd Grade ST Math Super Challenge With JiJi The Penguin," offers insights into engaging mathematical concepts that can inspire your writing and teaching.
While I included an equation here, it’s important to note that it didn’t carry over when exporting to Medium, indicating that Medium still lacks support for equations.

This new functionality mirrors LaTeX, and if you make an error and realize it after closing the editor, there’s no need to worry. You can click on the equation to reopen the editor for corrections.
At present, only equations are supported; functionalities like table creation are not available yet. However, once these features are implemented, Ulysses could become a prominent choice for those in the scientific community.
Chapter 2: Insights from Mathematical Applications
The second video, "Article Review ⇢ THE UNREASONABLE EFFECTIVENSS OF MATHEMATICS IN THE NATURAL SCIENCES -Eugene Wigner," explores the profound impact of mathematics in various scientific fields, which could provide useful context for your writing.
