The Challenge of Being Right in Academia and Beyond

Chapter 1: The Dilemma of Being Right

I often find myself on the right path, although I occasionally stray. When that happens, I’m quick to recognize my missteps and adjust my course. My intelligence and creativity are assets that don’t always coexist harmoniously, yet I believe having both is preferable to having one or neither, so I tend to embrace this duality.

Recently, I have largely ceased writing on Medium. The platform's algorithm makes it feel like a trap, and my time is incredibly precious. If I could see a noticeable increase in my earnings, I might reconsider my stance. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case.

After taking a break of over a month to finish two long-overdue books, I’m back. These books are essential for our website, www.fightchess.com. One is a guide to Fighting Chess, a game I created as a new evolution of chess. The other discusses The Block Transition Tournament, a novel approach to conducting chess tournaments (or any tournament). I aim to publish both on Amazon as well.

Upon completing these two works, I returned to Medium, where I have over 300 articles and more than 800 followers. My earnings had previously peaked at over $500 monthly for three consecutive months, with one month just shy of that figure. While I had climbed to a respectable level on Medium, I would need to quadruple that income to consider going professional.

In addition, I released another book on Amazon titled The God Power Equation. This work presents a new equation I developed, which combines one of Einstein's equations with two physical definitions, making it scientifically valid. The equation is:

Scientific Equation Representation

Here, 'm' represents mass, 'c' stands for the speed of light, 'v' is velocity, and 't' is time. The variable 'P' on the left side denotes power. The concept of God being incorporeal, which means lacking physical substance, implies that God’s mass is zero. Substituting zero for 'm' results in 'P' equating to zero, indicating that God’s power is also zero. Thus, I find myself correct once again.

There are seven religions that acknowledge the God of Abraham, all of which espouse the belief in an incorporeal deity. Yet, according to my God Power Equation, this God holds no power. While religion maintains that God possesses infinite power, my equation suggests otherwise. Similarly, other incorporeal entities, like Shiva, also exhibit zero power.

I’ve observed Professor Dave on YouTube critiquing Dr. James Tour, who subscribes to the belief in God and creation myths. This belief conflicts with scientific evidence, and Dave is aware that Dr. Tour misrepresents the science to validate his views. Dave questions why Dr. Tour doesn’t publish his findings in peer-reviewed journals, to which Dr. Tour responds that he isn’t aiming for scientific validation but wishes to appeal to the broader public.

This raises an intriguing question: Is it more valuable to be right, or to be famous and financially successful? Dave is striving for accuracy by challenging Dr. Tour, who, while incorrect, enjoys a substantial following and financial success.

Indeed, $5 million is quite a sum.

Wealth Representation

This observation serves to highlight my point: being right often does not lead to financial reward. Conversely, catering to the desires of the masses appears to pay off handsomely.

I refuse to compromise my integrity for monetary gain. I don’t want to be remembered as a fraud after my passing, much like Hulda Clark, who faced scrutiny for her unscientific claims:

A notable excerpt from her Wikipedia entry states:

Her claims have been criticized for their lack of scientific backing, relying instead on anecdotal evidence. Joseph Pizzorno, a well-known naturopathic physician, assessed Clark’s assertions and concluded they posed a significant public health risk.

This is not the legacy I wish to leave behind. As of now, I do not have a Wikipedia page (yet).

I am reminded of the debate between Bill Nye the Science Guy and Ken Ham. Bill Nye boasts a net worth of approximately $8 million, which is impressive for a scientist. However, Ken Ham's fortune is around $60 million. While Bill Nye “won” the debate, Ken Ham emerged with a more substantial financial reward, allowing him to complete The Ark Experience in Kentucky after initially running out of funds.

Creationism or Evolution: Aftermath of the Bill Nye and Ken Ham Debate

On February 4, 2014, Bill Nye and Ken Ham debated the viability of creationism as a model for understanding the world.

I realize that only a small audience may ever engage with this article. Unfortunately, academia does not provide guidance on achieving financial success. I’m referring to the vast sums of money amassed by individuals like Kenneth Copeland and Creflo A. Dollar, who have accrued millions by promoting deceptive religious narratives. We must not overlook Joel Osteen, who has also achieved significant wealth.

So, I authored The God Power Equation, which asserts that God has zero power. This revelation should earn me billions, yet I haven't sold a single copy on Amazon, largely due to platforms like Jeff Bezos' that hinder authors' success. Thanks for nothing, buddy!

Dead Guys with New Publication Dates on Amazon

I penned this story on Google’s Blogger on May 18, 2011. I have since abandoned that account because Google doesn’t reward its users adequately.

Many platforms actively limit individuals' potential for genuine reach. The previous article illustrates this issue with Amazon, but it is equally applicable to Medium. If you pause writing for a while, your views and engagement drop significantly. It takes time for the algorithm to recognize your work again if you return to publishing frequently. Facebook and YouTube also restrict reach unless you invest in advertisements.

The only way to gain significant reach is through financial investment or if you are already a public figure. Soon, I will establish my own site at www.fightchess.com, where we will prioritize user visibility. This practice of suppressing reach is deplorable, and we genuinely want our users to thrive.

In conclusion, being right is insufficient. Achieving visibility is equally essential. Ideally, one should possess both, but if forced to choose, I would prefer to be right.

Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts.

Chapter 2: The Quest for Validation

The first video titled "Being Right Isn't Enough - 2 Timothy 2:22-26" discusses the significance of truth and integrity in the context of faith and personal growth.

The second video, "When You Don't Feel Good Enough," delves into feelings of inadequacy and the pursuit of self-worth in a challenging world.
