Chapter 1: Introduction to Write Out Loud
Welcome to Write Out Loud! This platform serves as a fantastic resource for anyone interested in writing, freelancing, and entrepreneurship.
I launched my publication a few years back but, admittedly, I lost track of it for a while. Recently, I took the time to sift through all my Medium posts from early 2017 to the present, compiling every relevant article into Write Out Loud.
Feel free to explore Write Out Loud here. It encompasses all my writings related to freelancing, writing, entrepreneurship, business, literature, and finance. I've received countless messages from individuals who credit my posts with helping them kickstart their businesses, so I wanted to consolidate everything into a single location.
To give you a taste of what you'll find in the publication, here are a few highlights:
- The Impact of Blogging: Why Every Business Should Prioritize Original Content
- 50+ Blog Post Ideas You Can Implement Right Now
- Editing Across Genres: Adapting Your Techniques for Fiction, Nonfiction, & More
- The Four Types of Freelance Clients
- Identifying "Difficult" Clients
- While Some Freelancers Pitch to Publications, I Prefer Pitching to Individuals
- A Comparison of Self-Publishing, Vanity Publishing, and Traditional Publishing
- A Complimentary Freelancer Contract Template
- Monetizing Your Book
There's an abundance of articles focusing on client acquisition, managing problematic clients, setting your rates, marketing strategies, and much more. I encourage you to check it out and share your feedback! :)
Section 1.1: Additional Writings
Although many of my writings are available in the publication, I've also penned several pieces on various topics that pique my interest—such as parasocial relationships, meal delivery service reviews, emotional vulnerability, and others—that aren't featured in Write Out Loud. You can find those posts on my personal page, conveniently listed for your perusal.
Subsection 1.1.1: Explore My Books
For a deeper dive into writing, consider my book, Concept to Conclusion: How to Write a Book, where I guide you through the processes of conceptualizing, outlining, writing, publishing, and marketing a nonfiction book. Additionally, check out my latest release, an anxiety journal titled But…what if? A Journal For Anxious People.
