Exploring the Fascinating Theory: Are Aliens Time Travelers?

Written on

The Fascination with UFOs

The intrigue surrounding UFOs has been a rollercoaster ride since the Roswell incident in 1947. This phenomenon gained significant traction with Erich von Däniken’s influential book, Chariots of the Gods, and was further popularized by Steven Spielberg’s iconic film, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, which solidified the image of extraterrestrial beings in popular culture.

Most theories regarding UFOs typically suggest that these are alien visitors—non-human entities piloting advanced spacecraft to conduct bizarre experiments on Earth. However, what if we considered a different perspective? What if these unidentified flying objects are actually time machines operated by highly advanced humans from a future version of Earth?

Imagine the implications! This theory, which initially astonished me, has been circulating in ufology circles for some time, even though it is often dismissed by enthusiasts. The show Ancient Aliens briefly touched upon it, but they refrained from diving deeper since it contradicts their fundamental premise of ancient extraterrestrial visitation.

Influences in Scientific Discourse

This intriguing concept has even permeated discussions in the realm of space exploration. A book titled Identified Flying Objects: A Multidisciplinary Scientific Approach to the UFO Phenomenon presents similar ideas, although I have yet to read it.

Why might future humans be journeying back in time? The common hypothesis is that life in the future is less than ideal, with our descendants facing a significant issue. A prevalent theme in UFO abduction narratives involves reproduction; some theorists suggest that the evolved beings we could become may struggle to reproduce. In this distant future, they might be facing extinction, leading them to travel back through time to avert their demise.

I refer to this theory as “The Reverse Terminator Hypothesis.” Rather than dispatching futuristic technology to eliminate threats, these future inhabitants are striving to preserve their species by merging their DNA with that of humans from the present. It’s reminiscent of the old movie Mars Needs Women, where the narrative revolves around a similar idea.

A More Relatable Explanation

I find this theory compelling; it’s just as plausible as the notion of extraterrestrials traveling vast distances for… what? Odd experiments? The idea of time travelers striving to save their lineage resonates with a sense of urgency and emotion. When confronted with existential threats, humans unite and take action.

Consider it akin to the plot of Armageddon. Upon discovering an asteroid on a collision course with Earth, a group of experts, along with Bruce Willis, work together to devise a plan to save humanity by destroying the impending threat.

Next time you encounter a story about UFOs, resist the urge to default to the idea of visitors from distant star systems. Instead, entertain the possibility that it could be an issue of time-traveling fertility. To me, that presents a much more relatable and human explanation.
